Head of State Rumen Radev awarded Prof. Lubomir Stoykov with an Honorary Sign of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria. Our famous university lecturer, journalist, aesthete and fashion critic received the high distinction for his significant contribution to Bulgarian culture, science and education, as well as for his 65th anniversary. In his speech at the award ceremony, President Rumen Radev stressed the importance of what Prof. Stoykov has also done in the field of style and education for the younger generation.
The prestigious "BG Fashion Icon" competition is organized for the tenth consecutive year. According to an established tradition, the Expert Council of the Academy of Fashion, including prominent lifestyle, fashion, secular journalists and editors from the leading print and electronic media, offered its nominations for the most stylish and successful Bulgarians of 2018. As before, the criteria that Bulgarian celebrities need to show to gain the status of BG Fashion Icons are qualities and virtues such as sophisticated and modern taste and style, high professional achievements, impeccable culture, morality and reputation.
Due to its geographical location, Eastern European mythology and folklore seamlessly blend influences from Asian nomads, the Orient, Ancient Greece, the Thracian and the European Slavic cultures, the result being something completely new and interesting, but still European.
