In recent years, turbans have gained tremendous popularity worldwide and have become an up-to-date fashion accessory. They are an integral part of collections and fashion shows of top designers and brands such as Gucci, Missoni, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Marc Jacobs and others. The trend in Bulgaria is imposed by Sevdalina Dyakova, who is our only national designer of turbans. Her creations are not inferior to world brands in terms of quality, aesthetics and high-level craftsmanship. Namely because of her quality and beautiful design, Sevi by Sevdalina's turbans become a favorite accessory for many famous people, including the singer Ishtar. The designer has produced turbans for the women of several sheiks from different Arab countries, as well as many singers, models, actresses and influencers from Bulgaria and other places.
The Academy of Fashion, with president Prof. Lubomir Stoykov, participated in the charity initiative Support a Dream by the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev. Ball dresses and prom suits were received by dozens of youngsters who grew up without parents. In partnership with the Academy of Fashion, the campaign was also supported by: fashion house Desizo Monni, designer Jana Jekova, fashion house Romantika fashion with designer Sofia Borisova, Hristo Chuchev and Radoslava Lazarova, designer of fashion house Blink.
Ivaila Bakalova opened the show for fashion house "Blink" during the fashion week in Sofia Talented young designer Radi Lazarova presented her latest graduation collection Womanity Prom on the stage of Sofia Fashion Week in autumn-winter 2018. The show opened Ivaila Bakalova - Miss Bulgaria Universe 2001, which is also the face of the event. Signal dresses in the collection were shown by Gabriela Vassileva - Miss Bulgaria 2012 and Veronika Stefanova - Miss Bulgaria World 2017.
On February 21st the popular Bulgarian designer Sofia Borisova presented her Haute couture collection - “Emotion” – 2018.
