Bulgarian designer Suni (here - at his request, I present him only with his artistic nickname) was born in Kardzali, but has lived in England for 20 years. He is only seven years old when he leaves home with his parents. He has been through a very difficult period at a refugee camp in Sweden, but that was a long time ago. At 18, he enrolled to study business in college but decided to leave, moved to Oxford and opened his first car wash. For three years, together with his girlfriend, Pavlina Tsolova, they created a chain of private car washes, which they later decided to sell in order to invest in a new venture, thus creating the luxury fashion brand "Kozha" (London)
Aleksandra Petrova has a High School diploma in Clothing Design and Construction, as well as a BSc in Fashion from the Bulgarian National Academy of Arts (NHA). Aleksandra is a graduate in Scenography and Costume Design from Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia (Venice Academy of Fine Arts) through the Erasmus program and is currently perusing a Master degree in Costume Design at the NHA in Sofia. At the moment, Aleksandra is working on the completion of her graduation project. She’s designing the costumes and building the characters for the Shakespearean comedy Cosi fan tutte (The School for Lovers).
A fashion show of metal dresses was shown for the first time in Bulgaria Golden Needle winners, established fashion houses and talented young designers presented up-to-date collections The tenth anniversary edition of the BG Fashion Icon Awards traditionally included a stylish fashion show in which this year’s fashion collections were presented. The event was attended by Bulgarian designers and fashion houses, winners of the Golden Needle, as well as students of Prof. Lubomir Stoykov from National Academy of Art, specialty "Fashion".
Ivaila Bakalova opened the show for fashion house "Blink" during the fashion week in Sofia Talented young designer Radi Lazarova presented her latest graduation collection Womanity Prom on the stage of Sofia Fashion Week in autumn-winter 2018. The show opened Ivaila Bakalova - Miss Bulgaria Universe 2001, which is also the face of the event. Signal dresses in the collection were shown by Gabriela Vassileva - Miss Bulgaria 2012 and Veronika Stefanova - Miss Bulgaria World 2017.
Special guests at the Business Lady Club's June meeting were Prof. Lubomir Stoykov, President of the Academy of Fashion and the talented young designer Radi Lazarova (Blink Fashion House). They received a special invitation from Mrs. Mila Zaharieva, Gold member of Business Lady Club, to join the event on the topic of Style and Beauty.
Fashion house "Jeni Style" presented autumn / winter collection 2018-2019 Fashion house "Jeni Style" with designer Evgenia Jivkova presented the collection "Fantasy" autumn / winter 2018-2019, which includes 50 garments, divided into five themes. The face of the collection is the daughter of the designer - Andrea Stefanova. The event took place in Sigma Hall of the Paradise Center.
French designer Isabel Marant aesthetizes the chic outfits of Parisian fashion, reaching paradoxically to all parts of the world for inspiration - from the American West to the French Riviera. Marant was born in Paris in 1967 in the family of a German model and father, a French photographer. Her parents’ divorce when she is young and Marant is raised mainly by her father.
Some of the most beautiful women in the world were dressed by the Golden Needle winner - Hristo Chuchev. The designer dressed Lady Universe contestants with formal dresses from his latest collection. The final of the competition took place on October, when the crowns were handed over, and the winner was the representative of the Baltic - Alysa Mishkovska, the Baltic States. Her subordinates are the representatives of Korea, Jamaica, Latvia and the United States.
On February 21st the popular Bulgarian designer Sofia Borisova presented her Haute couture collection - “Emotion” – 2018.
